Community Midwives

The Community Midwives work with the Doctors to provide care for mothers during pregnancy and for two weeks after delivery.

Antenatal clinics are held at Welwyn on Friday mornings and at Kimpton on Thursday mornings.

In addition to the clinics at the surgery there are two drop-in antenatal clinics (no appointment necessary) at the following locations:

Community Nurses

Community Nurses are available to nurse the housebound and those patients recently discharged from hospital. If you are already on their case load you can contact them direct on 07789 932856.  All new referrals must be made through your GP.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors visit all families with children under five years old. They provide information, advice and support particularly at times of physical and emotional stress.
