Nurses

Our Practice Nurses offer a range of services and special clinics. They can help you with minor injuries, dressings, injections, removal of stitches, cervical smears, ear syringing, contraceptive and pill checks, ECG recording, dermatology and some medication reviews.

The Nurses can also advise on travel immunisations, diets, smoking cessation and alcohol control. They carry out health screening checks, blood pressure checks, 24hr BP monitoring, and teach inhaler technique to asthmatics. The Nurses also carry out family planning checks, cervical smears and HRT follow-ups.

Jane Hammill

Jane specialises in Coronary Heart Disease, Women's Health, Asthma, Travel, Minor Illness and all general nursing disciplines. Jane is a Nurse Prescriber and can issue prescriptions when she sees patients.

Ruth Reilly

Ruth specialises in Diabetes, Asthma and COPD. In addition she can offer appointments for Hypertension, Women's Health, Contraception, dressings and travel advice and vaccinations. Ruth is a Nurse Prescriber and she can issue prescriptions to the patients she sees.

Laura Wells

Laura has a special interest in Family Planning, Women’s and Sexual Health. She can offer appointments for contraceptive implant fitting & removal, hypertension reviews, some medication reviews, travel health, cervical screening, childhood immunisations, contraception and other general duties, such as wound care, ECGs and injections. She is recently qualified in asthma care and prescribing.

Rebecca Stonelake

Rebecca has recently joined as a Practice Nurse.  Rebecca is currently able to do ECGs, dressings/wound care, B12 injections, NHS health checks, BP checks, Pertussis/whooping cough for pregnant women and Meningitis ACWY for university students.

Healthcare Assistants

Nari Ramnath

Nari is able to carry out a number of general nursing duties, such as ECGs, wound care, ear irrigation, blood pressure checks, health checks and certain vaccinations – shingles, influenza, vitamin B12 & pneumococcal.
